Powerflush

Over time the central heating system can build up with sludge and rust on the inside of pipes, radiators and in the boiler.

This can lead to poor efficiency and cold spots on your radiators, it can also cause the radiators and boiler to corrode internally leading to leaks and blockages. After a Powerflush heat up times should be reduced and output from the radiators back to how they should be.

The flush machine will be connected to the system where the pump is or attached onto a radiator. The machine will be filled with water and chemicals, which will then flow around the system. All radiators will be isolated and opened one at a time until clear. This is a long process and can require a full day to complete to a good standard.  If there is an F&E  tank in the loft that will be cleaned out, and pipe work that’s required will also be redone. On completion the system will have inhibitors added to protect it.
If the system is particularly bad we may add cleaning chemicals a few days before we flush.
